Extended Abstracts

Invitation to presenters

Contributions are invited for poster and oral presentation in the areas of 3D EM modeling, inversion, and application relating to earth science. We appreciate papers on applications; not only successful ones　but also unsatisfactory case studies. Fast and accurate 3D (or even 4D) modeling and inversion algorithms are also very welcome. We emphasize this symposium is a "workshop". Therefore, we encourage presentations of work that is still in progress. We intend to have open discussions after the sessions. Theposter session will be given a large room for the whole time of the symposium.

Sessions are planned on

  • Forward modeling
  • Inversion and resolution analysis
  • Other developments
  • Applications (e.g. marine applications, mineral exploration, environmental studies)

Submission

The deadline for submission is January 31, 2013.

An extended abstract needs to be two to four pages in length including figures. Please follow the instruction and use the Microsft® Word® or LaTeX template available at Download page to produce a PDF file.

We accept a PDF file and Microsoft® Word® file. The size of the file should not exceed 5 MB. The file name should be as "YourFirstName_LastName.pdf" or "YourFirstName_LastName.doc(x)". If you submit two or more abstracts, add a number to your file name: e.g., FirstName_LastName_1.pdf, FirstName_LastName_2.pdf, …

The submitted papers will be reviewed by the Technical Program Committee. And, the accepted papers will be presented at the symposium as oral or poster. When you receive "a notification of acceptance for presentation" from the Technical Program Committee, please proceed to the online registration.

The Committee plans to publish a CD of extended abstracts (Proceedings), which is to be handed out to the participants at arrival, together with a program booklet that contains summaries of all presentations.
