The Society of Exploration Geophysicists of Japan announces to hold the 119th (2008 Fall) SEGJ Conference at the Tower Hall Funabori, 4-1-1 Funabori, Edogawa-ku, Tokyo, Japan on October 21-23, 2008. Poster sessions concerning various fields on exploration geophysics will be organized during the three-day period. The 60th anniversary events of the SEGJ, including anniversary ceremony, commemorative symposium, student events and banquet, will be held at the same date and place as the 119th Conference.
Abstract Submission
Deadline: August 22, 2008
An abstract must include title of paper, author(s), affiliation(s), body of abstract (100-150 words), session preferences, corresponding author name, address, fax, and e-mail address. Please use the online submission by web.
NOTE: Only POSTER presentations are accepted for the 119th regular conference. Posters can be shown for three days and the authors are required to be in attendance at their posters during the Core time: from 15:00 till 17:00 on October 21, 2008.Online Submission by Web Submission is closed on August 22, 2008.
Submission of Extended Abstract and Short Abstract
Deadline: September 15, 2008
All corresponding authors are requested to submit both an extended abstract for the proceedings and a short abstract for publication on the SEGJ Web site, in the specific formats after receiving notice of acceptance for presentation.

The extended abstract must be converted to PDF format and the short abstract must be in MSWord format(or plain text format). Both abstracts are required to reach the SEGJ office via e-mail as attached files by the deadline described above.

Pre-registration and Onsite registration are available.
The meeting fee includes both the 119th conference fee and the 60th anniversary events fee (anniversary ceremony, commemorative symposium and student events).
