This special session will be held after a plenary session of the symposium, and it will be opened to public. Presentation by specialists will be simultaneously translated to the audiences.
A special session will be held on the relationship between energy and Geophysical exploration. These days, the price of oil has run up due to growing sense of anxiety in the market to future deficiency in supply and causes oil companies to make historical profits. Recent risk analyses to the future supply in the report of the Department of Energy in US indicated that there are five techniques currently available for mitigating future risk in energy supply. Two out of these techniques are improved/enhanced oil recovery and utilization of non-conventional hydrocarbons, i.e., that requires the enhancement of current geophysical exploration technologies. We would like to say that it is time to invest more to geophysics. In this special session, we are inviting following speakers:
